Painting the Goddess

Painting the Goddess has become a transformative experience for me, as I have transitioned out of my marriage, renamed myself after a goddess, and expanded my beliefs around what I am here to do and around my own personal value. Each time I paint the goddess, I get invaluable insight, divine messages, and am infused with a new energy to empower my soul’s work.

I wanted to share with you some of my “Goddess paintings” that have spoken to me and been my recent companions on my life’s journey.

This is my Creative Goddess and she really started it all…see her rooted in the earth, grounding, and moving her big feet forward, the upside down lotus showering down white light and all the cosmic energy swirling around? She came to me and said, “It’s time to expand, sister.”

Then there was my Freya painting. It was an exercise in getting to know the name that “found me” (a subject for another post!). She has a cloak of hawk feathers, a grey cat and a bobcat as animal totems, and her infamous necklace that is symbolic of the “go-for-whatever-you-want-without-fear” energy.

Next came “Flowering” inspired by an OSHO Zen Tarot card. As soon as I read this from the card, I knew I had to paint her because I wanted more of THAT!!!

Your life should reach to others. Your blissfulness, your benediction, your ecstasy should not be contained within you like a seed. It should open like a flower and spread its fragrance to all and sundry–not only to the friends but to the strangers too.

The message of this Goddess is all about sharing your abundance of joy, spreading your joy like seeds, wherever you go. For me she embodies wisdom, joy, and LIGHT! She is still in progress and I go to this canvas to meditate on centering into the joy that my “work” brings me and how much I LOVE to share this energy with you!

This next painting spoke to me very clearly… “Athena.”

Can you see the little, yellow houses in the bottom right corner? As soon as those were revealed to me, I realized how limited our perspective can be compared to the expansive, soaring, divine perspective accessible to us through our own divine souls.

This painting felt like a guide coming to me, to share her timeless wisdom and endless reservoir of patience and energy.

I found the Goddess Kamala after searching for LOTUS and ELEPHANT, Elephants being my animal totem for 2016. Kamala is an aspect of the Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of abundance and prosperity.

Here she is in process…

I was painting over a lotus painting…

Each time I come to the canvas is like walking into a temple.

And since the Goddess IS THE ENERGY of creativity, it is a fabulous way to connect to your own divine energy. It ALWAYS raises your vibration, which equals an increase in feelings of LOVE, CONTENTMENT, PEACE and HARMONY. Ahhhh…

This is a fun pic taken with my Hipstamatic APP on my iPhone.

Here it is mostly done…

This magical painting called me to write an entire eBook about her emergence. Receive a hi-res file of this Yellow Tara Painting and the eBook when you share your name and email in the pop-up.

Please comment below about your experience painting and receiving guidance, insight…or your desire to do so and I will help you in any way I can. YOU are the canvas of your soul.
